2018 Track Layout

From a beginner to a Pro

This track had both technical parts and easy open parts making it ideal for all skill levels. We ran this track throughout 2018.

Full layout

This video shows the full track layout of Zoyland Drifting.

To understand the track more clearly please look at the individual broken down videos with descriptions below.

Step 1 - Figure of 8

The driver starts by driving diagonally right towards the top right corner of the airfield to then loop around the tractor tyre in the centre of the track. Then heading towards the new tyre wall, the driver will complete a figure of 8 passing the start line.

Step 2 - The long top corner

This is the fastest and longest corner of the layout. When drivers are coming past the start line from the figure of 8 they can really put their foot down to get up around the top corner. However not too fast as they need to scrub off speed to go around the second tractor tyre and back on themselves. When the driver comes back through the top corner they come round to the left to start "The Spiral" (Step 3)

Step 3 - Spiral

After returning from the top corner the driver will spiral around to the inner tractor tyre. Once around the inner tyre the driver will then go around the bottom cones heading towards the tyre wall, keeping the cones on the left hand side. Once passing the tyre wall the driver is now lined up to go back up around the top corner again but this time using a shorter line (Step 4).

Step 4 - Short top corner

As the driver leaves the tyre wall towards the outside of the track, they will then repeat step 2 using a shorter line. The driver goes up around the top corner and back on themselves again. As the driver comes back down from the top corner they will as before cut in to the track after the cones to start the final figure of 8 (step 5).

Step 5 - Final Figure of 8

As the driver comes in to the centre of the track from finishing the top corner, they now start the final figure of 8. Looping around the inner tractor tyre the head for the tyre wall to go around the bottom line of cones. Once around the bottom cones the driver will make one more pass around the inner tractor tyre allowing them to be facing the correct direction to crawl into the pits safely. (Step 6) .

Step 6 - To the finish

Once the driver has been around the inner tyre for the 4th time they are now pointing towards the pits to finish their lap and to enter the pits safely at a slow speed.
